FUTURE PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION
Consilium Place is easily accessible by public transportation with bus and light rail lines bordering the property. Its proximity to the Scarborough LRT Line, TTC and GO bus routes at Scarborough Town Centre makes it a prime location. Consilium Place is located in a growing central location with increasing urbanization and densification that will only keep on rising with the upcoming transit expansion. The City of Toronto, together with the Toronto Transit Commission (TTC), is currently in the planning phase of the subway line extension and bus terminal project to the Scarborough Town Centre, which will only enhance the attractiveness of the location.
The proposed Scarborough Subway Extension will replace the aging Scarborough RT. Council recently approved the McCowan Alignment for the extension of the Bloor Dundas subway (Line 2) from Kennedy Station to Scarborough Centre. Council also endorsed a concept for a 34-bay bus terminal at Scarborough Centre Station. Construction is scheduled to begin on both bus terminal and Scarborough Subway Extension (SSE) in 2020 and be fully operational by 2026. This increased accessibility will serve to make Consilium Place an even more attractive location for business tenants and a dynamic destination for clients and visitors.
